Before School Care
Gordon Parks Elementary offers Before School Care from 7:30–8:00 AM to support working families and give students a calm, focused start to their day.
This quiet morning session is led by GP staff and provides time for:
Finishing homework or reviewing classworkPracticing reading or math using games, flashcards, or booksIndependent or small-group activities that build focus and confidenceGentle routines that prepare students to transition smoothly into the school day
Before School Care balances academic support with a welcoming atmosphere, helping students feel ready and centered for a successful day of learning at gordon parks elementary school.
After School Tutoring & Enrichment
Gordon Parks Elementary offers After School Tutoring from 3:30–5:00 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays to help students strengthen their skills, extracurricular growth and build confidence.
Led by our academic staff, tutoring sessions provide:
Small-group instruction in reading, math, and foundational skillsHomework help and guided practice with classroom contentA supportive environment where students can ask questions and stay engagedConsistent routines that promote growth and academic success
This program is available by teacher referral and/or parent request is designed to give students the extra time and attention they need to thrive.
